The Marketing Internship Program

Because the marketing field is so multifaceted, Project Light offers a wide range of marketing project for interns to take advantage of. Students independently and creatively apply strategic thinking and textbook theories to the marketing and communication needs of our organization. Depending on what we necessitate at the time of application, interns have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the following areas:

• Perform market research
• Do SWOT analyses of the headquarters and learning centers
• Create concepts for and design (optional) on/offline promotional materials and advertising
• Contribute to the website (from a marketing perspective)
• Generate pricing strategies
• Execute public relations (PR) and communication functions
• Create and maintain relationships with partners and other publics
• Plan and oversee events
• Coordinate fundraisers and community events
• Gain publicity and media exposure

Many Marketing interns at other organizations spend their time sitting-in on marketing meetings, stuffing envelopes, and even doing administrative work. Well, do not expect to find that here! We understand how personally important it is for career-minded students to get as much practice as possible; therefore, we treat them as assets and really put their skills to use!

In order to apply for this internship, you must be a currently enrolled, degree-seeking student (or a recent graduate) and must adhere to your school’s interning policies. We also base candidates’ employability on a few other criteria. The majors most suitable for this program are Marketing, Public Relations (PR), and Communication (with an emphasis in PR).
